cosmictragedyDuring the time Harley and Bobby spent inside the walls of Lower Town they found they had similar interest in staying alive so they banded together. Over the course of their first year they drew other like-minded people together and called their gang The JOKERS due to their morbid sense of humor during even the attacks from the Beltline.
During the next three years they crossed paths with other gangs, earning their respect. When they finally crossed paths with Ginji Amino, Bobby managed to withstand one of Ginji's attacks after fighting with him. Giniji, being impressed, offered him a place as one of his four Kings of the VOLTS gang. He refused to be a subordinate so Ginji asked him to be by his side and Bobby agreed. VOLTS and the JOKERS were a formidable gang. People feared and turned to them while they tried to settle the chaos, protect and help improve life in Lower Town.

Ginji Amano AKA The Lightning Emperor
He got his nickname because of his ability to control electricity. This control grants him several unique abilities such as amazing regenerative power and the ability to become a human magnet and battery. His power seems to virtually limitless while inside the fortress itself.
He, like Bobby, has two personalities. His demeanor is one of an unassuming, energetic, and friendly boy with a strong sense of justice. He makes friends easily, often without trying and is trusting and open to an almost naive extent. His darker side is his polar opposite, becoming merciless to those around and often surfaces when confronted with a difficult situation emotionally or physically.
Kazuki Fuuchouin AKA Threadmaster
Kazuki is the last master of the Fuuchouin Thread Arts, a fighting style which utilizes koto strings controlled by vibrations in his fingertips. The strings are very sharp and can tear up solid earth, bones, skin, muscles, and sometimes steel based on the vibrations of the finger. The strings also have other uses, such as listening in on distant conversations. The strings are stored in two bells tied to the front right strand of his hair to ease manipulation.
He is graceful and charming, and is often mistaken for a woman because of his long hair and feminine face and often wears women's clothes. But when angered, his fury is such that his notorious other title is "Prince of Fear".
He is one of the Four Kings.
Shido Fuyuki AKA Beastmaster
He has the ability to control animals, although it should be better stated that he asks them for favors, as he views animals as his friends and tries to protect them as they do him. He has the ability to take on the characteristics of about 100 different types of animals. It's been mentioned that he was a "genius which comes only once in a 100 years", which may mean that his ability to take on so many animal forms may be a unique thing.
As the last survivor of the Fuyuki Clan, his Chimera form is one of the three "keys" to opening the sealed gates of Babylon City. Additionally in his Chimera form he is at his most powerful, having access to all his animal powers at once, having access to an enhanced willpower so strong that he couldn't ever be defeated.
His last and final skill is he can release the potential powers which are hidden within a person.
He is generally very independent and cold to others. But those he is close to, he can be quite protective of.

Juubei Kakei AKA Flying Needles
He fights using long acupuncture needles. His needles have different powers, some even lethal, and he must control them with precision in order for them to be effective.
An impossibly serious person (his language reminds one of the samurai of feudal Japan), he often cannot understand the jokes made by others. He is also often teased of his relationship with Kazuki as they grew up together and are quite close. He is protective of his older sister, Sakura, and will come to her defense if she is threatened.

Ban Midou AKA Evil Eye
Ban utilizes two main abilities. His primary technique is the Evil Eye which allows him to force anyone he makes eye contact with watch a one-minute-long illusion which he can place inside a time-warp zone which can make one minute last up to several hours. It should only be used three times per day and cannot be used on the same person again for the next 24 hours. It is rare for him to use the Evil Eye to defeat his opponents.
His second ability is the Snakebite. Because he is a direct descendant of the Witch clan, he possesses incredible superhuman strength, which gives him a gripping force of 200 kilograms in each hand. Ban can augment the strength of his Snakebite by reciting a certain chant.
Ban is very intelligent, having studied fighting techniques, science, history, music, art and magic from a very young age as a result of being hunted during his childhood. More often surprises everyone with his knowledge and abilities, such as being able to play the violin. He also bears a striking resemblance to his father. Another trait which both father and son share is that while they may appear cold and ruthless on the surface, they are actually very warm and caring towards their friends.

The JOKERS
Bobby Drake AKA The Emperor
He has the ability to control ice and water. This control grants him several unique abilities such as the ability to affect the temperature and weather and transform his body itself into ice and manipulate it which gives him regenerative power while in that form. His power seems to be virtually limitless as long as there is moisture.
He, like Ginji, has two personalities. His demeanor is happy-go-lucky, energetic and friendly. He makes friends easily, often without trying and is trusting sometimes. His darker side is his polar opposite, becoming merciless to those around and often surfaces when he encounters his friends/family being hurt or when his extremely long fuse runs out.
Harley Quinn AKA Lady Death
She is a well versed in using a variety of fighting skills and anything she gets her hands on can be a weapon. Her first ability allows her to change her outer layer so long as she knows about the type of solid she is changing to, giving her remarkable durability, speed and strength from whatever form she takes.
Her second ability allows her to manipulate shadows to hide herself, move quickly and stealthily. She can create objects to use as an attack and can bypass most attacks or allow attacks to pass through her, making her a very difficult opponent to defeat.
She, like Bobby, can be merciless but is often curbed by Bobby unless he is out of control. Despite her gleeful, crazy-like demeanor, she should never be underestimated. She is highly intelligent, easily predicting people and skilled tactician.
Haruki Emishi AKA Fresh Blood Joker
His weapon is a long whip woven from the hair of the women of his people, which is also referred to as "Dragon's Hair" because, thanks to the special way the hair is looked after before and after it is woven as well as the special way that it is braided, the whip itself is as strong and pliable as a dragon's whisker. The whip itself consists of a single grip in the middle with two whip lengths protruding from each side, which he handles very well with quick and fluid attacks. Another technique he has is that his blood, as with all Loulan warriors, is highly combustible when it make contact with oxygen, though, unfortunately for him, it only seems to work when a large, arterial flow of blood is used.
He is light-hearted and friendly. He often is the joker and often teasing his friends. His nickname is given because he often is seen laughing and covered in his enemies' blood.
Kuroudo Akabane AKA Dr Jackal
His weapons of choice are 108 razor-sharp surgical scalpels concealed inside his body, which come out and attack at his will. His other greatest asset is his incredible speed, which is matched by Ban's only: he can dispatch opponents with great ease, and this feat remains unchallenged even when his opponents are monsters from the Beltline.
With his polite manners and ever-present smile, he could be mistaken for a harmless person. He wears a 3-piece suit and an overcoat with a tie and a hat that usually covers most of his face, as he generally speaks with his head inclined. He chooses fights exclusively for his own amusement and as to test his own ability; the limits of which he himself has never known.

He is also a genius tactician basing his outcomes from data he collects on people, knowing exactly how something will turn out before those around him do. He also created a program which he calls the Wire Doll system. With the program he can connect to anyone, using his unique mother system to control someone's body entirely to his use by either hooking them up to his zero gravity alloy giga wire, or do it wirelessly through any chip instealled. Despite his computer skills, he can put up a physical fight, if he has to.
Because he was born and abandoned inside the Limitless Fortress, he has no actual name other than Makube which was written on the sack he was found in. He added X for the variable of the unknown. He is cold and calculating and expects those that follow to listen well. But he is bitter with abandonment issues.
